Watt uses your wearable to measure sleep, movement and recovery. That data is what powers your Vitality score, and it fills in the sleep and exercise blocks of your Lifelog automatically.
Connect your wearable
- Open Watt and go to Senses (Devices and Integrations).
- Under WEARABLE, tap Connect Wearable.
- Pick your device from the list.
- Sign in with that device's own account β Garmin, Oura, WHOOP or Fitbit β and approve the connection.
You'll be brought back to Watt when it's done.
Supported devices
- Apple Watch
- Oura Ring
- Garmin
- WHOOP
- Fitbit
You can connect one wearable at a time. If you already have one linked, disconnect it before adding another.
Garmin: turn on historical data sharing
During the Garmin sign-in, one of the screens offers Historical data sharing. Tick it.
If you skip it, Watt starts from the day you connect: no past sleep or calories come across, and your Vitality score needs about a week of data before it settles.
Apple Watch and Apple Health
Apple Watch data reaches Watt through Apple Health rather than a direct account login. Watt reads Sleep, Exercise and Mindfulness activities from Apple HealthKit and uses them to calculate Vitality.
When iOS asks which categories to share, allow all of the ones Watt requests. If you only allow some, the metrics built from the missing ones stay empty.
After connecting
The first sync pulls in your history and can take a few minutes. Larger histories take longer, so it's worth leaving the app open the first time.
After that, Watt syncs on its own. You can force one at any time from Senses β WEARABLE β Sync Now, where you'll also see when the last sync happened.
If data isn't coming through
- Check the source app first. Open Garmin Connect, Oura, WHOOP or Fitbit and confirm the data you're missing is actually there. If it hasn't reached your device's own app yet, it can't reach Watt.
- Make sure your watch or ring has synced with its phone app β that sync happens over Bluetooth and is a separate step from Watt's.
- Turn off Low Power Mode. It delays background syncing on both iOS and Android, which can hold data back by a day.
- Tap Sync Now in Senses and give it a few minutes.
- For Apple Health, check that Watt's permissions are still on: iOS Settings β Health β Data Access & Devices β Watt.
Disconnecting
Go to Senses β WEARABLE β Disconnect.
Watt stops receiving new data from that source right away. Metrics already calculated from it stay in your history β disconnecting doesn't erase your past days.
