Connect your calendars

Your calendar is how Watt knows what you were doing during the day. Connected events land in your Lifelog as they happen, so your work, school and personal blocks fill in without you logging anything.

Connect a calendar

  1. Open Watt and go to Senses (Devices and Integrations).
  2. Under CALENDARS, tap Connect Calendar.
  3. Choose Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar or Apple Calendar.
  4. Sign in to that account and approve access.
  5. On the Select Calendars screen, tick the calendars you want Watt to read.

You can connect more than one account β€” for example a personal Google account and a work Outlook account.

Choose which calendars to use

Most accounts hold several calendars: your own, ones shared with you, holidays, birthdays. Watt asks you to pick, so leave the noisy ones off. You can come back to Select Calendars at any time to change the selection.

Each calendar can be labelled Work, Personal or School. That label is what sorts your time in the Lifelog and in your lifestyle breakdown, so it's worth setting deliberately β€” a mislabelled calendar will show up as the wrong kind of time.

Apple Calendar

Apple Calendar is read from the calendar accounts already set up on your iPhone, so there's no separate sign-in. iOS will ask for calendar permission the first time.

If your work account is set up in the iPhone Calendar app, it may appear here even when a direct Outlook or Google connection is blocked. That's often the quickest way around a locked-down work account.

If your work calendar won't connect

Plenty of companies block third-party apps from connecting to work accounts. If sign-in fails or an administrator approval message appears, you have two options β€” asking IT to approve Watt, or routing your work calendar through your personal one.

Both are covered in Share a work calendar with your personal one.

If events aren't showing up

  1. Check the calendar is ticked in Senses β†’ CALENDARS β†’ Select Calendars. This is the most common cause.
  2. Check the event is on a calendar you connected, not one shared with you that you left off.
  3. Confirm the account is still connected. Password changes and company security policies can quietly revoke access β€” reconnect the account if it looks disconnected.
  4. Give recent changes a moment. Events created seconds ago may need a sync before they appear.

Disconnecting

Go to Senses β†’ CALENDARS β†’ Disconnect on the account you want to remove. Watt stops reading new events from it immediately.
