Track your working hours automatically

Creating a work schedule is only the first step. Add your work locations too, and Watt logs your work time automatically whenever you're there β€” no calendar entry needed.

1. Create a Work Schedule

  1. Open Watt and go to the Time tab.
  2. Under the Work card, tap Create Work Schedule.
  3. Set your days and working hours, then activate it.

This gives Watt your general workday structure. It's the baseline β€” your work locations fill in the rest automatically.

2. Add your work locations

  1. Open the menu and go to Senses.
  2. Tap Location, then Locations.
  3. Tap Add address.
  4. Search for the address or drop a pin on the map.
  5. Give it a label (for example, "Office") and set the Category to Work.
  6. Save.

From then on, every time Watt detects you're at that address, the time gets logged as work automatically β€” the same way it recognizes home or the gym.

You can add more than one work location if you split time between an office and other work sites. Each one needs its own entry, and locations must be at least 300 meters apart β€” if a new spot is too close to an existing one, Watt will offer to edit the existing one instead.

A note on automatic detection

Automatic all-day location detection currently works on iPhone only, and needs Always location access. If you haven't granted that yet, see Enable location first β€” the Locations screen will show Partial access until you do.

Automatic detection is coming to Android soon. In the meantime, your Android work hours are tracked through your Work Schedule and connected calendars.

Manage your work locations

Edit the label or category, or delete a location entirely, anytime from Senses β†’ Location β†’ Locations β€” tap any saved address to open it.
